At LocalPlaces, Saturdays are reserved for open walking tours. Yes, both JoburgPlaces and IkapaPlaces offer public walking tours at special discounted per person rates on Saturdays. But LocalPlaces members can now pay even less!
Make use of our irresistible offer to buy a LocalPlaces membership valid till 30 December 2024. For R1000 you can join any 4 different open Saturday walking tours during the year. Or you can bring 4 people to join one open Saturday walking tour during the year. You can also buy a membership to gift to a friend, a family member, or a colleague.
The special annual membership costs R1000 and buys you 4 open tour spots in the year. This means you are in fact paying R250 per person while our rate for private walking tours is a minimum of R2600 for up to 4 guests (R650 per person). Our normal Saturday open tour rate for locals is R350 per person, making the membership offer an attractive proposition.
Once purchased, you can make your Saturday open tour bookings at any time, but bookings must be made at least a week in advance. As open walking tours are limited to 25 guests per tour, best is to book in advance to make sure space is available on your date of choice.

Membership ONLY entitles guests to slots for discounted, open Saturday walking tours. The amount paid cannot be applied to any other tours such as driving tours, storytelling dinners or special events.
The special membership rate is available to both local and foreign guests.
Any person or organization can buy multiple memberships to increase the number of tour slots they can attend during the membership period.
A membership payment is non-refundable and cannot be refunded for any reason whatsoever.
If a member has not made use of all 4 tour slots on offer in the membership period which expires on 31 December 2024, the unused slots are forfeited and cannot be transferred to a new year, nor can it be refunded or exchanged for any other tour product.
