CAPE TOWN

Quick Encounters are perfect for locals and travelers alike who want to experience special places and meet inspiring people. These are not lengthy tours but quick, mini events – typically visiting significant places that you would not enjoy as much, or find as meaningful, if you visited it on your own.

Whether it is a specific museum exhibit, a street art district, a stunning public space, an astonishing viewpoint or just a fantastic eatery, we take you to significant spaces & places and introduce you to inspiring people.

Our Quick Encounters are free to members, but a ticket price is charged to attend if you are not a member (covering the hosting and organizing of the event). Where museum or venue entrance fees apply and any food and drink you enjoy on the day, are for your own account on the day.

Schedule of upcoming Cape Town Quick Encounters:

Saturday 9 November & Saturday 14 December, 11am-1pm:

Located in an astonishing, refurbished, historic building, the old granary in District Six. Then join us at the nearby Eastern Food Bazaar to taste a famous South African Bunny Chow (or a whole lot of other Middle Eastern and Asian-inspired foods, fused into South African favourites).

Meet at the Demond & Leat Tutu Foundation, 11 Buitenkant Street at 11am.
