Delectable Ethiopian njera.

Migrant Cuisines Tour
Our ultimate food-tasting tour. Johannesburg is known for its incredible mix of migrant foods and freshest ingredients. Our tour includes some of the most significant migrant foods on offer in Johannesburg and involves a combination of restaurants and deli shops. Of course, along the way, Charlie tells mesmerizing stories about the migrant communities of Johannesburg and the cuisines they introduced to the local culture.

The tour typically runs from 10am-6pm. The itinerary below is indicative and may be adjusted depending on which venues are available on the day of your tour, or the size of your group. We have a wide array of possible stops to choose from and guests can know that the combination of venues chosen, will always make for a spectacular experience.

All meals and any drinks consumed along the way is for the customer’s own account on the day, paid directly to the relevant shops and restaurants.

Typical itinerary:

1:40pm STOP 4: Nestanet, Little Addis (Ethiopian)
Our favourite part of the inner-city is known as Little Addis, right next to the Fashion District. Here you will find buildings full of Ethiopian coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries, fashion stores, barbers and more. Guests enjoy delectable, traditional Ethiopian njera with a range of toppings at Netsanet. We also gather for a coffee ceremony on the first-floor balcony, while guests can browse the bakery and delight of trading stores too.
